Brownes is an iconic West Australian fresh dairy business. Dating back 135 years, Brownes has a strong and loyal following and sources all of its milk from South West WA dairy farms. Brownes holds leading positions in the fresh milk, flavoured milks, creams, yoghurts categories and has won various WA and National dairy awards.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Senior National Business Manager, your primary focus will be to build on existing customer partnerships, drive volume, sustainable financial growth and lead interactions with key accounts in the retail channel for mutual benefit.
The role also involves the management and leadership of a team of sales representatives operating in the WA independent retail channel. Given the commercial responsibilities, you will be one of our key leaders in our sales team and our business.
You will have a drive and passion for sales and enjoy working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same and excellent customer service is paramount.
Fostering strong business relationships with key personnel, major accounts and buying groups within the business category will play an integral part in the achievement of budgets across all dairy categories are met both in Value and Volume.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
Lead a team of business development executives to manage and grow the retail independent sales channel in WA
- 100% ownership of your numbers for you and your portfolio
- Maintain and continuously improve customer relationship and service levels
- Drive sales opportunities through superior category, consumer and channel insights and analysis
- Create and execute customer specific Joint Business Plans to drive your customers and Brownes growth
- Deliver customer promotional programs to achieve joint customer volume and financial targets with relevant customers
- Deliver and facilitate high quality presentations to customers including Quarterly Business Reviews, Requests For Tender and Annual Range Review presentations where relevant
- Negotiate and execute customer trading terms agreements
- Responsible for the delivery and ranging of all NPD in the channel
- Drive customer marketing and retail excellence to create brand exposure and availability
- Continually review the current plan and financial metrics ensuring financial year targets are met
- Day to day management of internal controls and reporting of trade spend management, promotional planning, demand planning, NPD tracking and sales forecasting
- Work with key internal stakeholders to drive Brownes Dairy to be the preferred choice of supplier.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years strategic sales/key account management experience
- Prior experience/ strong understanding of WA independent retail channel
- Previous experience of leading a retail sales team.
- Dairy and/or FMCG organisational experience will be highly regarded but not mandatory
- Educated to minimum Bachelor's degree level in a relevant commercial subject
- High level of computer literacy with MS Office
- Ability to analyse data and develop category insights (experience with Nielsen/Aztec)
- Fluent in English
