Senior Systems Engineer

Brownes holds market leading positions in the fresh milk, flavoured milk, cream and yoghurt categories and has won various WA and National dairy awards.Our Head office is in the state we were born, Western Australia and our IT Team are based at our manufacturing site in Balcatta.If you enjoy working within a fast paced production environment, we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the daily business operations by providing an effective and efficient IT infrastructure service to ensure maximum reliability and availability.  This role will provide direction to junior system administrators in respect of tasks, projects and related support issues.The role will include support for the following: IT Helpdesk for user requests and issuesServers (Windows 2008R2 & VMware 5.5 and above)Databases (Oracle & MSSQL)ERP Application (JDE E1)Warehouse Management System (Paperless)SCADA Systems (Citect)Responsibilities will include to track and report on system issues, work to solve root causes of recurring problems and identify projects to address related issues.It will be imperative to effectively communicate with Management, IT staff, Vendors and users in all stages of work.There will be the requirement to undertake IT related projects and adhere to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and projected task allocations for completing assigned work.What we are looking for:A minimum of 5 years experience in an enterprise system Administrator role.Microsoft MCSE or 5 years experience managing an enterprise Windows environment.VM VCP or 5 years experience managing a VMware environment.Experience with administrating databases.Experience with REP Systems.Experience in managing a SAN.Experience managing IT projectsExperience with staff training and mentoringWhat we offer:This is a salaried full time 12 month contract, located in the Northern Suburbs without the hassle of expensive parking, plenty of free onsite parking, cafe on site, an active social club along with a range of other benefits offered to Brownes employees, are just some of the 'perks' of the job.If you think your experience and knowledge match the above criteria we would love to hear from you.Applications from agencies will not be accepted at this time.
