This role manages packaging teams, coordinates with other departments, ensures optimal use of equipment and materials, and leads continuous improvement initiatives across all packaging processes.Role Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of the packaging function, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective packaging of products.Develop and maintain packaging schedules aligned with production plans and customer requirements.Supervise, train, and support packaging staff to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Ensure packaging operations comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO).Manages the financial cost within this cost centre, providing monthly forecast updates and optimising costs, efficiencies, yields, and wastage.Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.Optimize packaging material and liquid material usage to reduce waste and control costs without compromising quality or safety.Evaluate and recommend new packaging equipment, technologies, or materials for process enhancement and sustainability goals.Participate and lead NPD projects within packaging to ensure projects are developed and implemented successfully.  Requirements: Strong science, engineering or dairy industry diploma level qualification. Experience leading cross-functional teams working in FMCG or dairy food packing businessesProven capability in implementing improvements in people safety, food safety and operational excellence What do we offer: A great culture – we love being the best and we love what we do 5 Weeks annual leaveEmployee rewards programVarious health and wellbeing discounts i.e. private health, hotels, gymsEmployee Assistance ProgramApply:  To apply for this role, please submit a CV and covering letter that best shows your relevant skills and experience.  All candidates will receive a response. Applications for this role will close on 29th July 2025.At Brownes Dairy, we recognise that our differences are our strength.
