The Role

We are currently seeking a casual sales representative to joint our team in Balcatta.

Reporting to the Key Account Manager your primary focus will be developing new business and maintaining and growing existing business within a defined territory of Metropolitan South as far as Success.  This role is 'casual' flexible hours working approximately 20 hours per week and would be ideally suited to someone who has a strong FMCG 'on-the road' sales background who resides in or around this location.

  • Innovative execution of accurate Planograms/Shelf Management and activating in-store promotions
  • Providing retailers with increased awareness and product knowledge
  • NPD ranging and negotiation of shelf space with managers to leverage market share
  • Growing the client base and developing new business opportunities
  • Effective management of sales activities to maximize volume and profit
  • Regular liaison with distributors, field sales, customer marketing and supply chain teams
  • Manage and review reports regarding Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensuring customers are trading within their agreed terms, including credit terms
  • Complete and submit timely sales and administrative reports
  • Ensure preservation of the cold chain and product quality adhering to industry standards
  • Management of Brownes assets such as fridges and POS materials

About You

  • Must have proven FMCG sales experience
  • The ability to seek out and capitalize on sales opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Be highly motivated and able to work as part of a team
  • Outstanding communication skills with the capability to build quick rapport with Customers
  • Ability to influence the opinions of others
  • Have the ability to assert one's opinions in the face of opposition
  • Strong customer focus and the desire to understand and meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders
  • An awareness of the wider commercial environment and the capacity to consider the financial implications
  • A strong planning ability that can identify the necessary resources and develop a plan to achieve the desired outcome.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Must have a C Class Driver's License - the use of a reliable vehicle for which your kilometers will be reimbursed
  • Previous experience in an 'on the road' sales role is a must
  • Strong computer skills especially with MS Office
